I was seriously deluded as a child.

The accurate version:

Ring a Ring O' Roses,
A pocketful of posies,
Atishoo! Atishoo!
We all fall down!

What I assumed was correct as a child:

A ring a ring of roses,
A pocket full of noses
A tissue, a tissue
We all fall down.

I have fallen in love with Ratatouille's Le Festin. The language, so smooth, the banjo-sounding instrument adding a swing element to the rhythm. The clarinet, if that's what it is, provides a quirky ditty, slightly odd, but yet blending in perfectly, almost jazzy if I might say, what with cross-rhythms and rapid slides.

There is something so alluring about the French language, the sensuous phrases, the slight roll of the tongue, the entrancing mystery behind the words.

It's about food, a feast!!! But heck, the french can make anything romantic.

Oh it makes me want to dance in time.
