
He looks up quickly, a lopsided grin on his face.
I signal frantically to the girl.
He ignores it.
He throws the rubber ball at me.
I catch it.
She pouts.
She glares at the boy.
She crosses her hands over her chest.
She refuses to play.
I groan.
I try to throw the ball at her.
She sulks.
I throw the ball to the boy.
He throws it back to me.
I sigh.
I smile at her encouragingly.
She's still a bit miffed.
She wants the ball.
I gladly hand it over.
She throws it into the boy's face.
I hide a smile.
The boy sulks.
To teach young children how to share is an exercise in futility. Oh but I love it.
And I will so miss VBS.
