“Ah general, good to see you,”
“Can the formalities Lucas; is the council ready for my audience?”
The grounds keeper led Isanbak to a large corridor; within it were several crests and insignias. The walls were made out of wood, very unusual for a building in this time. A red carpet laid down upon the creaking wood, on it was a large symbol, resembling what would be a gryphon, the crest for the royal imperialist army. They continued through the corridor until they reached a large metal gate. Isanbak could see nothing beyond it, almost as if there was nothing there.
“The council waits beyond these bars general,”
The gates opened up slowly, Isanbak took a few steps forward. The torches lit and the council sat in full circle around the center of the hall. There were many members of the council, all wearing a robe with the symbol of a star at the back. It wasn’t a regular star, for it had several other stars within it, almost never ending, you could not the see the last star, for it was too small to be seen. They all also carried a katana in a sheaf around their back.
“Greetings general,” announced the head council. He wore a blue robe instead, possibly representing a higher level.
“Thank you, Amastad.”
“What does Isanbak propose to the council this time?”
“Not proposing my friend, an order.”
“An order? Who do you think you are? The council is above you, you are not our head, Isanbak.”
“Hm, one more word out of you, and I’ll have you executed,”
“By whose authority?”
“Mine of course. The royal imperialist armies, and the royal imperialist union, have abolished this foolish system of governing.” Isanbak had a smile on his face. “All council members are hereby retracted from their duties, and will be deported out of the capital.”
The council was in disarray, some shouted in protest and some drew their blades.
“This is madness!” Amastad cried out
“Is it?” Isanbak drew out his pistol and aimed at Amastad’s head. “Madness it is then, friend,” he pulled the trigger. The council members drew their blades, ready to rebel against the takeover.
“Soldiers!”
Isanbak’s marched out in front of him, armed with stun guns and metal shields.
“Now listen, I suggest if you want to leave alive, I suggest you cooperate.”
The council backed away, and dropped their weapons. They had an angry look on their faces, as if they had been backstabbed. They members proceeded out of the building one by one, soon to be banished from the kingdom of Arcania.
