Walker awoke from a five hour sleep. He had too much to drink obviously as the hangover overcame him almost instantly. He stumbled over to the television.
“Violence broke out when the head council member of Arcania, Amastad, was shot in the head.” Walker paid closer attention. “The shooter, General Isanbak, justified it as an act of treason. He had just announced the abolishment of the council when Amastad violently attacked Isanbak. ‘It was an act of self-defense’ says Isanbak, ‘If I could’ve spared him, I would’ve.’ Isanbak is a long time serving commander of the Royal Imperialist armies, and has a spotless criminal record. His actions have been justified.”
“What the hell is going on…?” Walker was extremely confused; Isanbak and Amastad have been long time friends and are as close as they could be. “There must be something wrong…”
“In other news, the recent abolishment of the head council of Arcania has incited political controversy. The order was given by monarch Cornelius Diver when he announced on Sunday, two days before the shooting, that he would quote end-quote, ‘Bring a new justice to the kingdom.’ Critics speculate controversy within the government, but decide it is pure speculation as of now. This is Patricia Walberg, channel five news, reporting from city hall, have a good day everyone.”
Walker looked at his watch; it was 1’oclock in the afternoon.
“Ha! It’s about time you woke up.” Isabella commented.
“What the hell’s happening at city hall?”
Isabella put down the groceries at the counter before turning to look at her brother.
“Isanbak shot Amastad, and now the entire city is in confusion, I heard some gossiping of a military takeover.”
“That’s insane, Isanbak would never do such a thing, and even if he did, he would at least inform me first.”
“Ha-ha, you’re funny brother,” Isabella then proceeded to offend him in a lower voice and tone, “oh, I’m Walker Farla, I’m the general’s favorite, and he wouldn’t take over Arcadia without my approval first.” Isabella showed her teeth.
Walker’s face stood still out of ignorance, but then turned confused as he got up from the couch.
“Where are you going?”
“Out, and don’t follow me.”
Walker slammed the door behind him in quickness.
“La-la, so immature,” Isabella sighed.
