.” Wolf looked across the street from city hall, the road was empty and few cars passed by the building.
“And how do you propose we do that?” Walker stayed in the shadow of a pillar.
“We can’t, but perhaps if the royalists hear us out, they will be alarmed enough to keep on their toes, all threats are taken seriously when directed at the royals,” Wolf pulled out a small device from his robe. He fiddled with it for awhile before a quiet ringing tone sang out, then a voice.
“You have one new message,” it was an electronic messenger.
“Open, hear,” Wolf complied.
“Where the hell are you? There are guards everywhere; they have found out that you have been gone out of the complex for more then your regulated time, they have locked down the gates so no one can get through, and their on the lookout for you.” The voice paused for a brief moment before resuming, the old man sounded like he was in a hurry, “there’s no point sneaking back into the complex, it’s almost certain death. Head to safe house for now, I will meet you there in the morning, dawn, please take care of them.” Wolf stowed away the messenger back into his robe.
“What was that about?” Walker broke the silence.
“It’s a long story, I’ll have to get you somewhere safe first,” Wolf scanned the horizon for shadows. “The safe house is three miles south of here, on South Bedford Drive Block 452,” Wolf handed them a gold key, it was scratched from every angle. “Stay low, and move in the darkness. It’ll be less likely for you to get caught without me,” Wolf handed Walker a pistol; “I trust you know what this is.”
Walker surveyed the weapon, “a semi automatic, armor piercing, marksmen, Kogg-“
“Good enough, don’t let anyone get in your way,” Wolf disappeared into the shadow almost instantly.
Walker was still stunned by all of this, he hadn’t realized before what he had just gotten himself into, including his sister. He equipped the pistol to his belt, it was fully loaded and shined in the moonlight bliss. Isabella’s mouth was wide open, she remained quiet for a brief period of time, staring up in the moonlight. “C’mon, lets get going,” Walker continued down the street.
“What about the car?” Isabella jumped to her feet.
“Leave it, Arcadian guards put up roadblock check points at night, it would be best to leave it here for now.”
Isabella had a sulked and followed after Walker.
