Chapter Six: Evasion
“We’ve got to warn Diver before it’s too late,” Walker was running faster then ever in his life, like he was dodging bullets.
“It’s nearly midnight now, so the city patrols shouldn’t be too alert,” Wolf had no problem beating Walker and Isabella in a foot race; “we will need to find a place to lie low for now.”
Isabella caught up with the rest, “but what about Diver? He’s got to be warned.”
“Isanbak will not rid of him so soon, he still needs him to gain political power over the people,” Wolf slowed his pace, “Diver will choose not to believe our warnings, for he is gaining a reputation amongst the people as well. We will need to warn the royal family first.”
“The royal family?” Walker was breathing hard.
“Isanbak needs to get through them if he is to take total control over Arcadia. If we can convince the royalists to side with us, Isanbak will be powerless.”
