Chapter Nine: Convicts
The sky port wasn’t too far away at this point. Walker stood on a steep hill to watch the last of the sunset moment fade away. The combination of orange, red and pink mixed to form a truly outstanding portrait across the Arcadian war barrens. The sky port was in sight, several hangers had been bombed, Walker had a worried look.
“Our ship should be located at the eastern sector of the sky port. We will have to sneak our way in as there are many guards around the area.” Wolf sat down to let the others rest. “Walker, you look tired, sit down.”
Walker indeed wasn’t looking at his best. It had taken him incredible strength to recover from the fantasy, his face still lingered with a hint of distress. His vision blurred as he nearly fell asleep on the lush grass in the shadow of a wondrous sprout of vegetation. The radiant ray of sunset beat down upon Walker as he willingly surrendered to the moment. It was indeed a beautiful day, the skies were clear as the war frigates could be seen in complete detail, there was no mist to hide the battleships along the coast, and the lustrous blaze of flame and ash added the radiant aura of color to the scene.
