“Good evening sirs.” I never had doormen in blue uniform greet me.
“Good evening to you kind mister,” neither of us were dressed for the occasion, as with most of the boys. As we stepped into the grand hallway, I could see two clusters of contrast and distinction. Clarice was dressed in a green robe with frills hanging of the back. I stood speechless, and as she turned around to meet my eyes, a slight sense of awe was not-so humbly displayed on upon expression. She came up to me and Jack.
“How goes the evening gentlemen?”
“Quite nicely actually, and who might you be?”
“Clarice Fode, and yourself sir?”
“Jack Bronson, and may I bid adieu for now, I must attend to some business of mine.” He walked over, in the direction of a rumbling crowd of greaser boys; they were showcasing the technique of how to make a fool of ones’ self by crushing your best bud in a game of ‘act inappropriately in front of the grand master and his subordinates’.
“It seems you have fitted in just fine? Correct me if not?”
“Perhaps my lady, and likewise to yourself?” When I was most briefly interrupted by a creature with radiant blonde hair, her face wasn’t the most threatening, but that frightful look on her face, a scar for life nonetheless.
“Clarice! I finally found you!” Her voice was indeed the cherry on the cake, a big sparkling one glistening with an aura of ‘bliss’ at that.
“And who might this fine looking gentleman be?” she now turned to look at me, oh the matters of reality going through my mind; I hope I can run today.
“This is Jacob Field, and Jacob, this is Alegria Reed.”
“Nice to meet you kind sir!” she was indeed quite ecstatic, comparable to a cage full of rabbits fighting over a single piece of carrot, without the carrot.
“All first years in row one please!” The ding of a bell was all the sweet sound I needed.
“We must be going now; I’ll see you two soon,”
“Bye! Till we meet again!” her voice quickly trailed off.
